The Job Role

THEY are looking for a proactive and analytical Internal Accountant who will be responsible for managing the financial administration, ensuring robust internal controls, and preparing financial data for external audits. The Internal Accountant will work closely with the management team to support strategic financial decisions and ensure the overall financial health of the agency.

Responsibilities: 

  1. Managing Financial Administration:

Maintaining records of sales and purchase invoices, payroll, bank transactions, and other financial data.
Digitising documents and using accounting software to efficiently record and archive transactions.
Preparing detailed financial reports such as monthly and annual statements, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.

  1. Budgeting and Forecasting:

Developing the annual budget and monitoring income and expenditures to ensure the agency stays within the budget.

Preparing financial forecasts and providing advice to management on budget planning and potential savings.

  1. Invoicing and Payment Management:

Managing the lifecycle of quotes, approvals, invoicing, and customer payments.
Ensuring a clear overview of the status of sent quotes, approvals, invoices, and received payments.
Following up on outstanding payments and managing receivables to ensure healthy cash flow.

  1. Internal Controls and Compliance:

Implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial data and prevent fraud or errors.
Ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws, accounting standards, and other financial regulations.
Preparing reports and documents for external auditors.

  1. Preparing Documentation for Audits:

Ensuring a well-organised and documented administration, including preparations for audits by providing the necessary financial data and documentation to external auditors.
Explaining financial processes and answering questions from auditors.
Providing explanations for any discrepancies or irregularities in the financial records and supporting them with the necessary documentation.

  1. Reporting and Collaboration with Management:

Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for the management team to provide insight into the agency’s financial status.
Offering strategic advice on financial planning and cost control.
Analysing the costs and revenue of different projects and campaigns and making recommendations to improve profitability.

  1. Risk Management:

Identifying potential financial risks and implementing risk mitigation measures.
Monitoring the creditworthiness of clients and protecting the agency from financial losses.

  1. Optimisation of Financial Processes:

Continuously improving the efficiency of financial processes and implementing automation where possible.
Recommending enhancements in accounting softwares and processes to lighten the workload and enhance accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills

3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with interest in AI tools and financial automation.
Proficient in accounting softwares (e.g., Exact, Twinfield, or similar systems).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of tax laws and financial regulations.

Experience preparing documentation for external audits.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance colleagues.
A proactive and problem-solving work attitude.
Eagerness to bring AI-driven improvements into financial processes.

Salary Expectation:

A monthly salary of ₹45,000 to ₹70,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
